Common Rush · Juncus effusus

Description: evergreen, grass-like perennial with bright green stems (1.5-4 ft) and tan flowers that also appear to arise from the sides of the stems (summer). Common rush is attractive set among stones or alongside a pond. Facultative wetland (usually, but not always, found in wetlands). Full sun/part sun, regular water (will tolerate less).
