Chokecherry Jam

  1. Wash berries and place them in a pan. Just cover them with water.
  2. Bring berries to a boil until they start to separate from the pits.
  3. Drain through a cheese cloth into a large enough bowl or pan to save the juice. Squeeze the berries caught in the cheese cloth to get the extra juice in them.
  4. For every 3 cups of juice, mix 6 1/2 cups of sugar and bring to a boil.
  5. After boiling a few minutes, remove from heat and add 1 jar/box of pectin/certo.
  6. Skim the foam off of the top of the juice and jar the mix.
  7. ENJOY!!
